Any diagnosis of cancer is frightening and isolating.
We are here to support you.

The word cancer still evokes fear in many, yet we know more and more people are surviving cancer for much longer and living with the disease in much the same way as other chronic illnesses.
SUPPORT AND NURSES

Who Are We

GO Girls launched in March 2015. Supported by our patron Helen Lederer. Our aims are to help support women with gynaecological cancers, raise awareness of these diseases and campaign for earlier diagnostics and improved treatments.

GO Girls want to ensure all women with gynaecological cancers receive the support they truly deserve on what is often a lonely and difficult journey with survival rates still very low, particularly for those with ovarian cancers.

In the last 3 years our membership has grown via our online support group, and we continue to grow daily as more women recognise the support we give. We have raised £50,000 to fund a consulting room at Dorset County Hospital – our legacy to the women in the South West where GO Girls began.

Support is vital to help women undergoing treatment, women at the end of treatment and those women whose survival is limited.

SUPPORT AND NURSES
In the busyness of our everyday lives, it's easy to forget basic values of humanity, mutual support and connection.  GO Girls offers an online support group where you can share your feelings with others and where we can support you with our unique blend of advice, support and virtual hugs.

The GO Girls are determined to raise the profile of gynaecological cancers and we are campaigning very hard to do this.

We will never forget that what women tell us they want most is support. We want to ensure we are here for all women, their family and friends. If you feel able to support our work, thank you.
