Support Tasmin, Kate & Karen to reach their target
Tamsin, Kate & Karen are running the Yeovil Half Marathon for GO Girls! GO Girls!
Tamsin's dear friend Beth - yes that lovely smiley GO Girl! - was diagnosed with ovarian cancer aged 43.
Supporting women with cancer is close to Tasmin's heart. She was lucky to survive breast cancer and the support I received during my treatment was beyond measure. I also made a friend whilst I was on the chemotherapy ward - she too had ovarian cancer, but her story did not end happily and sadly she passed away in the summer of 2017 - far too young.
To see my dear friend Beth battling now with this same awful disease makes me determined to do something positive.
GO Girls! hit the spot offering loads of support with the women at the very heart of what they do. The emotional impact of diagnosis, surgery, treatment, premature menopause is enormous, so it's great to know GO Girls! is there, so I really hope you will consider giving something back to help them continue with their important work - thank you.
