Join our one million 5p challenge

Over 21,000 women are diagnosed annually with a gynaecological cancer and sadly 21 women will die from a gynaecological cancer every day. So 58 women and their families will receive life changing news each and every day.

GO Girls believe there is much work to do. We’ve all heard of breast, cancer and bowel cancer, but could you name the 5 gynaecological cancers? Yes, there are 5: ovarian, endometrial (womb), cervical, vaginal and vulva cancer. Survival is still sadly very low in ovarian cancer with overall survival rates not improving much in the last 20 years.

We need your help to help raise awareness of gynaecological cancers – cancer survival improves with earlier diagnosis. 

With your help, sparing your 5p's, we can make this happen.

We are hoping to raise 1,000,000 5p's - this is £50,000. With this money we can support 5 awareness campaigns to support raising awareness of all 5 gynaecological cancers.

Simply find yourself an old bottle to recycle, gather up all those 5 pence pieces, drop them into the bottle and start collecting. And when you’ve filled up one bottle, just start another.

So how do you get started?

01 Recycle it

Finished that bottle of water? Don’t bin it, think green, think GO Girls.
Download the GO Girls 5p Challenge label. Any issues get in touch and we can send it by email.

02 Tear it

Tear off the existing bottle label and stick your GO Girls 5p challenge label to your bottle.

03 Save & share it

Fiddly aren’t they, those 5 pence pieces? So save them and put them in your new GO Girls 5p bottle.

Tell your friends and family about the new recyclable GO Girls 5p bottles and encourage them to get involved too.

So how do you get all those 5ps to us?

Once your bottle is full carefully peel off your label and follow the instructions on the reverse.
  • Send us a cheque made payable to GO Girls to GO Girls, 44 The Ridgeway, Upwey, DT3 5QQ, writing the words on the back “5pence”
  • Donate an amount equal to the money saved in your bottle and send electronically to our GO Girls bank account Sort Code: 60-07-01 Account Number: 43852440 using reference “5pence”
For every £1 you give, we can reclaim an additional 25p in tax.  You just need to
provide your full name, address and postcode and tick the declaration box on the label.
