Martin, aged, 67, died suddenly from what the Times reported as sudden death following the administration of a yellow fever vaccine.
He had an illustrious career. He was professor at the Institute of Cancer Research and also worked at the Royal Marsden Hospital. With a career spanning more than 35 years, he had contributed considerably as an oncologist and to oncology services having a special interest researching ovarian cancer.
GO Girls send their deepest sympathy to his family, friends and colleagues. This larger than life figure will be very much missed by the oncology community and is a great loss to the field of ovarian cancer.
